As part of Francophone Week, the Alliance Française de la Dominique is screening 16 films from African countries for the whole week. The countries include Niger, Cameroon, Burkino Faso, Mali amd Ghana. Screenings go from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

A traditional burning the effigy of the spirit of Carnival to mark the end of the Carnival fest­ivities and the start of the Lenten observation. It takes its influences from the French, African and Kalinago ancestry. It is observed in specific villages including Colihaut, Dublanc, & in the Carib Territory.
